How to Redeem Roblox Promo Codes & Gift Cards (2026 Guide)

First: which kind of Roblox code do you have?

Most “my code doesn’t work” problems happen because the code is being entered in the wrong place. Use this table:

How to redeem a Roblox promo code

Roblox promo codes come from official Roblox events and giveaways. They are often short-lived, so use them as soon as you get them.

1. Open a web browser and log in to the Roblox account that should get the reward.
2. Go to roblox.com/redeem. If it gives you trouble, Roblox also lists roblox.com/promocodes.
3. Type or paste the code into the box and select Redeem.
4. Wait for the success message. Items appear in your inventory; Robux or credit is added to your balance.

How to redeem a Roblox gift card

On a computer or phone browser (works for everyone)

1. Go to roblox.com/redeem and sign in.
2. Gently scratch the back of the card and enter the PIN.
3. Select Redeem and wait for the confirmation message.

In the Roblox app on Samsung Galaxy

1. Open the Roblox app and go to the More page.
2. Tap the Redeem tile.
3. Enter your code and confirm.

Good to know about Roblox gift cards

• Amazon and Party Packs gift cards add Robux only — they can’t be turned into Roblox Credit.
• You can redeem a card bought in another country; the value is converted to your account’s local currency.
• You can redeem several cards, but one at a time.
• Roblox does not refund gift cards, so double-check the account before you redeem.

How to redeem codes inside a Roblox game

Codes for individual games are created by that game’s developer and only work inside that game. The steps are usually:

1. Join the game.
2. Look for a Codes, Gift or Settings button — often on the side or top of the screen.
3. Paste the code and press Redeem or Claim.

Example: in Grow a Garden, codes are entered from the Settings cog. See our Grow a Garden codes post for the current working list.

Roblox code not working? Try these fixes

• Check you’re logged in to the right account.
• Check for look-alike characters: 0 vs O, 1 vs I, 2 vs Z, 5 vs S, 6 vs G or Q, and 8 vs B.
• Check you’re in the right place — in-game codes won’t work on roblox.com/redeem, and gift cards won’t work inside games.
• Check your inventory — you may already own the item.
• The code may have expired. Promo codes are often active for only a short time.
• Gift card from a store promotion? Roblox doesn’t reissue those codes — contact the retailer.

Stay safe: avoid Roblox code scams

• Only redeem on roblox.com/redeem or inside the official game — never on other websites.
• Never share your password or a gift card PIN with anyone.
• “Free Robux generators” are scams. Real codes never ask you to log in somewhere else or complete surveys.
